Srinagar, MTT News Desk: In Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK), forceful anti-India demonstrations erupted, today, in Yaripora area of Pattan after an Indian trooper tried to molest a girl student.
The protesters raised high-pitched slogans like “We want freedom” and “Go India go”.
Eyewitnesses told media men that a girl student of Yatipora was on way to her school when a trooper intercepted her and tried to
molest her.
The girl, eyewitnesses said, raised an alarm before escaping from the clutches of the trooper. People also staged a demonstration at Tankipora in Srinagar against the arrest of youth in the area.
The Indian occupation authorities booked religious scholar, Qazi Yasir, under draconian law, public Safety Act for the fourth time and lodged him at Central Jail in Srinagar.
The Indian occupation authorities continued to place senior Hurriyet leaders Syed Ali Gilani under house arrest.
A joint session of the AJK chapters of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference was held in Islamabad and the participants said that the arrest of the Executive Director of Kashmiri American Council, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai was an attempt by the US to appease India.
The session was chaired by the Convenors, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar and Ghulam Mohammad Safi.

An unidentified gunmen have killed a civilian in Sopore town.
The unknown gunmen shot at and critically injured 34-yr-old Mohsin Ahmad Wani near Kralteng in the town of OSJK. Mohsin, an employee in the Fruit Mandi at Sopore, was shot in the head, abdomen and shoulder by the assailants. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
On the other hand, Indian armed forces arrested several youth from Manzigam in Kulgam for participating in protest demonstrations against the gang rape of a woman in the area.
Locals told media men that the police had cracked down on some youth for allegedly instigating violence in the area on Friday when six policemen were injured and a vehicle of a Revenue Department was set ablaze. Six youth are reportedly under detention while a case has been registered against 25 youth for being involved in stone pelting and setting the vehicle on fire.
