Srinagar, MTT News Desk: APHC leader and the Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi, Mohammad Azam Iqilabi has demanded complete withdrawal of Indian armed forces from Occupied State of Jammu & Kashmir (OSJK).
Mohammad Azam Iqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian armed forces are committing gross human rights violations and arresting the Kashmiris, particularly youth for participating in peaceful protest demonstrations. He strongly denounced the abduction and rape of a woman in Kulgam by the troops.
Inqilabi said that the Indian authorities are not allowing Hurriyat leaders including the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, to participate in peaceful protest demonstrations and address public gatherings.
He said that the leaders were placed under house arrest to prevent them from participating in protests against the human rights abuses.
Mohammad Azam Inqilabi also condemned the arrest of the Executive Director of Kashmiri American Council, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai in Washington, saying that Dr Fai had been struggling to highlight the Kashmir dispute politically and democratically and demanded his immediate release.
He also demanded of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play an effective role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Chief Patron of Islamic Political Party, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, has said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations is imperative for establishing permanent peace and stability in South Asia.
Yousuf Naqash addressing the party activists in Sumbal said that the people of Kashmir would never accept or compromise on any thing less than freedom from Indian bondage.
He urged India and Pakistan to involve the Kashmiri people in the ensuing foreign ministers level talks. He further said that India should accept Kashmir as core dispute and settle it on priority basis with two other parties to the dispute Pakistan and the Kashmiris.
He also demanded of New Delhi to take Kashmir specific confidence-building measures like demilitarization, repeal of draconian laws, end to human rights violations and release of Kashmiri detainees.
